Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved recognition for her performance in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the 1980s. The role she played in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her hugely famous. Her next film was the film Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance at an early age. As a teen, she attempted acting, however most of her early movies failed. She found fame and became one of India's leading movie actresses. She decided to take a break from her career after her wedding before returning to the entertainment industry. Recently, she played an important role as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit is nominated to win fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She also has a reputation for social activism.
