MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN for his debut full-length album. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca is an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. He collaborated together with Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year dropped his sophomore album charting Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo has an musical family, as both his elder brother and mother are musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory part of his life. As a child, he was instructed to play guitar, the piano and ukulele. His initial choice of career was to be a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he realized his ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
